Well, I’m not sure if we could ever get such a world – not as long as there are human beings around; or at least not until we humans succed in gaining some kind of universal perspective that will allow us to just get along. Until then, laws will certainly remain a necessary evil, that’s granted. But like Plato says, laws are only useful to constrain bad people from acting in ways that will harm others. So we might as well do our best to understand and respect our fellow human beings, right? For our own sake as well as theirs.
