Michelle Obama bans daughters from hanging out with Celebrities!

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Have you read the latest news? I almost feel like I’m doing a little gossip here, but I trust you’ll bear with me until I express my reasoning. You see, I just read from an official news source that Michelle Obama is forbidding her daughters from hanging around with celebrities. In my opinion, that’s very wise of her – those children are suddenly being exposed to a vast and dangerous world, and they would quite easily get tangled up with bad companies.

I’m not saying this just because those are the children of the president and they are expected to set an example. It’s really just because they are children, and most American celebrities are (in my humblest opinion) a lousy influence for youngsters. So that’s a respectable decision from Mrs. Obama, and I sure hope the Obama daughters will be wise enough to understand and obey their mother!

Law of Man vs. Law of God.

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Let’s pause for a minute to think about something concerning the law: we have previously agreed the law is something that man creates in order to make it easier to get along with fellow man. Well, what about the law of God? Arguably it has been created for the same purpose, and as a matter of fact the difference between the two is arguably non-existent.

In fact,we might go as far as stating that the Law of God was actually created by good men doing their best to try and help people get along. This may sound like a heathen thing to say, but come on! Isn’t the law all about trying to help make people get along? What better pretext could there be to achieve such thing, than by using a theological framework?

If you really think about it, all laws – god’s law as well as man’s law, any kind of law revolves around the same principle “treat others as you wish to be treated by others”. If only we could stick to such a simple principle, trust me… all other laws would become obsolete, eventually. In the meanwhile, we can but hope and dream and do our best effort!
