Kids and teenagers today have been brought up playing games totally unimaginable to all us who are over 40 years old. Sports and other outdoor activities were dominating kids play until the game consoles dominated the market in the end of the 80s.

World of Warcraft was released on the 24th of November 2004 and is at present nearly 6 years old. Even though the game is aging, it continues to thrive in the MMO genre. In its history, there has been 2 large expansions, a third is now on the way and will be with us before 2011. (more…)
It would seem to me that more and more people out there are playing video games all of the time and this may be because people actually find it cheaper to buy a video game than to go out a meal, it helps that the industry has seen bigger budgets and also marketing efforts have been risen. They are also starting to appeal to more than one audience with things such as model kits even coming with some of the most important games.
