Bring Color Into Your Business With The Hewlett-Packard 3600 Series Printer
Tuesday, September 7th, 2010The HP 3600 Series Printers are ideal for a small office network with massive productivity needs. This series of laser printers is comprised of two units: the 3600n (Q5987A) and the 3600dn (Q5988A). While both have key differences, they share some common features which make them suitable in a competitive environment of today’s workplace, like the use of HP Color LaserJet 3600 toner.
Both the 3600n and the 3600dn boast of a processor with a 360-MHz speed. Such allows for the machines to come up with up to 17 pages per minute, for both colored and black and white printing tasks. They’re specifically designed to be operated with much simplicity. Even their installation is hassle-free; all that’s needed is a few clicks of the mouse button to have their software installed.
Producing standout, professional-looking prints is important these days. For the series, there are some innovative features HP has developed and included. For instance, there’s the HP ColorSphere toner, which increases the array of available colors. Likewise, rendering of livelier and more intense colors can be achieved. Optimal results can be attained with the use of HP’s high gloss paper with five-layer coating.
There are only four cartridges that can be found in the machines. Such allows for easier maintenance each and every time. But there’s more. Contained in a single unit are the image drum and ColorSphere toner. With such, it’s easier to replace them and there are no messy spills to deal with. Additionally, a more consistent performance is enjoyed with the entire imaging system being replaced.
Different media sizes and kinds can be handled by the machines. For the multipurpose tray, sizes ranging from as small as 3 in x 5 in to as large as 8.5 in x 14 in can be handled. For the 250-sheet standard tray, sizes from 5.8 in x 8.3 in to as much as 8.5 in x 14 in can be worked on. Compatible media kinds are extensive as well. From various paper types (plain, bond, glossy, recycled, etc.), transparencies, labels, envelopes to cardstocks.
With two available connectivity options, the laser printers can be easily attached to a PC or the network structure of the office. Such options include a high speed USB 2 dock and fast Ethernet connectivity. Making it possible to connect to a network structure wirelessly is the optional 802.11b/g Wireless LAN accessory.
There are a few key differences between the two printers belonging to the series. Memory-wise, the 3600n carries with it 64 MB, and the 3600dn has 128 MB of it. When it comes to duplex or two-sided printing, the 3600n comes with a manual one, while the 3600dn comes with an automatic one. Both are compact in design, which makes them easy to be placed on a desk. The 3600n measures 15.7″ x 17.7″ x 15.7″ (W x D x H) and weighs 59.6 lbs. with the HP laser toners installed. On the other hand, the 3600dn measures 15.7″ x 17.7″ x 16.7″ (W x D x H) and tips the scale at 61.6 lbs. with the print cartridge installed.
The HP 3600 Series Printers are easy to install, operate and maintain. And such advantages make them ideal for a small office network which requires professional printing jobs. Both the 3600n and the 3600dn carry with them features HP itself has developed, like the HP Color LaserJet 3600 toners, in order to meet varying productivity needs.
